Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Transportation Committee to Be Established to Advance Bilateral Projects

MRUDNEWS - In a significant step to enhance bilateral cooperation, Iran’s Minister of Roads and Urban Development, announced the imminent formation of the Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Transport Committee. The committee aims to accelerate the implementation of joint projects in rail, road, air and sea transport. Speaking on Thursday, April ۱۱th, during a visit to joint border projects, Minister Sadegh highlighted the outcomes of her three-day discussions with Azerbaijani authorities. Her Excellency noted that previous Memorandums were reviewed and new agreements were reached following the Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation meeting. The Minister described her meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev as groundbreaking for deepening ties in transport, energy, oil, gas and trade. She also held talks with Deputy Prime Minister, H.E. Shahin Mustafayev, focusing on advancing the agreed framework of the Joint Commission.
